Kentucky Republican Senator Rand Paul believes that the coronavirus pandemic has been taken out of course and shouldn’t be taken as seriously.
On Tuesday, the Republican lawmaker claimed that we haven’t “reached pandemic levels” in rural areas and we should open back up because overall “we’ve had a relatively benign course for this virus nationwide.”
According to Paul:
“In rural states, we never really reached any sort of pandemic levels in Kentucky and other states … outside of New England, we’ve had a relatively benign course for this virus nationwide.”
