Melania Trump is facing widespread backlash for her latest outrageous cash grab: gold “Vote Freedom” necklaces priced at a staggering $600. This gold vermeil pendant, adorned with an engraving of Lady Liberty—torch in hand, branch in the other—claims to celebrate American values while lining her pockets.
Dubbed a “limited edition” on her official website, the necklace supposedly includes a “corresponding Digital Collectible,” though details about what that actually entails are conveniently vague. The necklace is also available in silver, featuring a 1.5-inch round pendant on a 26-inch, gold-plated sterling silver chain. Buyers can even engrave a personalized message—because nothing says “patriotism” like a custom bling at an outrageous price.
Jimmy Kimmel took aim at the former first lady during his monologue, tearing into her for “hawking” the necklace. “Lady Liberty on the front and nothing behind it, just like Melania herself,” he quipped, underscoring the empty grandeur of her new venture.
Ana Navarro, host of The View, didn’t hold back either, labeling Melania’s latest endeavor as “tacky” in an Instagram post.
“Oh My God. Like Really. Oh My God,” the political strategist scoffed. She highlighted the growing list of overpriced merchandise from both Melania and Donald Trump: “Add a $600 necklace to the $90 Christmas ornaments and the memoir book and the piece-of-s*** NFTs. Oh, and the $250k to speak to gay Republicans.”
Navarro also fired shots at Melania’s relentless pursuit of cash: “Basically, the only time Melania shows her face is to extract money from poor suckers. Seriously, how can people supposedly so rich, be so miserly? What’s she gonna sell next… nipple-rings?” She quipped that Melania “should be First Lady of Home Shopping Network. #tacky.”
Kimmel also pointed out the overwhelming amount of merchandise coming from the Trump camp, with Donald Trump recently unveiling limited edition silver medallions called “Trump Coins,” which he touted as a “true symbol of American greatness.”
“I like that it’s made of silver though – it’s the perfect gift to send him when he comes in second in November,” Kimmel retorted, earning a wave of applause.
“We are in the final stretch of the election when candidates should be focusing on leading the country, and this nut’s having a yard sale,” Kimmel remarked. “He’s selling so many I feel like there should be a law that says you can either sell coins or Bitcoin but not both—and certainly not both in the same week.”
Meanwhile, Trump’s foray into cryptocurrency, World Liberty Financial, aims to cater to those overlooked by traditional banks. His son, Donald Trump Jr., claimed it would offer new opportunities, but this latest scheme just adds to the circus.
In another shocking display of self-promotion, Trump even marketed shoes featuring his bloodied face after an assassination attempt, alongside a 300-plus-page photo book for $99 that promises an “unparalleled look into his four years” and a “roadmap for the future.”
Meanwhile, Melania’s set to release her own book on October 8. Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, Melania’s former friend and adviser-turned-Harris supporter, slammed her for “capitalizing on the time she has left before the election,” asserting that her “value is gone if she is no longer a prospective first lady.”
