‘Biggest Scandal in Epstein File’: Morning Joe Blows the Lid on Missing Trump-Epstein Sex Assault Records

On Wednesday, as the White House tried to shake off the Epstein scandal, a new bombshell hit: multiple documented interviews with a woman claiming she was sexually assaulted by both Jeffrey Epstein and Donald Trump are nowhere to be found in the infamous Epstein files.

MS NOW’s Jonathan Lemire, appearing on Morning Joe, didn’t mince words. “There’s been frustration all along with how this has been handled. And that’s sort of counterintuitive, because so much of what the DOJ is doing is at the direction, at least unspoken direction, perhaps, of the White House. But the president has said to people close to him in the last few months that he’s been soured on how Attorney General Bondi has handled this. And then we see Bondi try to do a course correction to protect him, and that only seems to make it worse.”

Timing, of course, could not be worse. Lemire added, “There’s no doubt that they were upset with the timing of these revelations. It drowned out the State of the Union.” And if you thought Trump would show up in public to smooth things over after a speech meant to fire up the base? Think again. “We never saw President Trump at all yesterday; truly strange on the heels of a speech like that meant to reignite some momentum for his presidency.”

The story zeroes in on Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche and the missing files themselves. Multiple interviews with the accuser — who alleges Trump assaulted her at around 13 — are listed on an evidence log but absent from the publicly available Epstein documents. That omission is raising serious questions about transparency and potential cover-up.

Morning Joe co-hosts didn’t pull punches. Willie Geist highlighted how Republicans have been obsessing over Hillary Clinton’s peripheral Epstein connections while the missing Trump-Epstein files sit in limbo. “Hillary Clinton’s name, yes, is in the Epstein files hundreds of times because Jeffrey Epstein clipped articles about the 2016 election… talked in one instance, told a friend he would have no luck setting up a meeting with Hillary Clinton because he didn’t have a relationship with her,” Geist said.

Joe Scarborough called it “the biggest scandal in the Epstein files.”

“She’s being deposed today while the Justice Department clearly, clearly got caught in a cover-up… And again, it’s just a farce. The whole thing is a farce,” Scarborough said before adding that Blanche’s instructions to search for certain files — now missing — only deepen the impression of obstruction: “This whole thing looks like such a cover-up.”

Lemire piled on, taking aim at DOJ impartiality: “The Department of Justice’s claim of impartially handling the Epstein matter is undermined by the fact that the Department of Justice headquarters in Washington, there’s a giant banner with Donald Trump’s face on it. That’s true, right there on the main justice. And they are acting like it, as you said, Joe.”

As Scarborough summed up: If there’s nothing to hide, why weren’t the files released nine months ago? The drawn-out secrecy only fuels suspicion, leaving the president’s Epstein scandal as the loudest, ugliest shadow over his presidency yet.
