Attorney General Pam Bondi just got caught in a lie — and the internet is coming for her with pitchforks.
For months, questions have swirled around the so-called “missing minute” of surveillance footage from the night Jeffrey Epstein died in his Manhattan jail cell. Bondi, a staunch Trump loyalist, claimed the footage didn’t exist because it had been taped over. That’s the story she stuck to.
Until a the new video released on Wednesday destroyed what little credibility Bondi had left on the subject. It turns out, that footage was never missing. It was just… hidden.
According to The Guardian’s Richard Luscombe, that exact minute — from 11:59 PM to midnight on August 10, 2019 — has now been found. Yes, the same clip Bondi said was gone forever.
“The video was in a cache of material, including 33,000 pages of records relating to the disgraced financier and former Donald Trump associate, released late on Tuesday, (September 2) by the U.S. House Oversight Committee,” Luscombe reported.
So much for the whole “oops, we taped over it” excuse. Even more damning? The footage wasn’t just found — it was edited.
“Experts found the clip released by the DOJ was chopped from at least two separate video segments and strung together using Adobe Premiere,” attorney Phil Holloway tweeted. “There was no lapse in footage — contradicting Pam Bondi’s explanation that the last minute of footage is deleted every night.”
That’s not just embarrassing — that’s a direct contradiction of Bondi’s public statement. And now, social media is absolutely torching her.
“The missing minute from Epstein’s prison footage – the one Pam Bondi said didn’t exist – was just released,” wrote X user Hunter Hogan. “It reveals a group of guards right by Epstein’s cell, doing something strange. Force Bondi to testify, fire her, and LOCK HER UP.”
The calls to “Lock Her Up” — once directed at Hillary Clinton — have now boomeranged back onto Bondi, and the irony isn’t lost on anyone.
“Bondi is paid to lie and help Trump get revenge on anyone who opposes his authoritarian agenda. Christians don’t do this,” posted Ed Pageau.
And it’s not just random users airing their fury. Former litigator and commentator Viva Frei suggested this might be the beginning of the end for Bondi’s public career.
“They found the missing minute from the Epstein cell footage. It’s immaterial, except Fox News seems to be leveraging it to highlight the inaccuracy of the statement from Pam Bondi,” he said. “I’ve been saying it for a while: Pam Bondi should be fired.”
He added: “I think that is now in the works… Fox got the memo, and they are now softening up the general public to that eventual outcome.”
Military veteran Robert Clark cut straight to the chase: “Is there ANYONE in this s— administration that isn’t a compulsive, pathological liar?”
Bondi’s been facing heat for years over her political connections, especially to Donald Trump — and now this bombshell is pouring gasoline on an already lit fire. It’s not just about Epstein anymore. It’s about lies, cover-ups, and accountability — or the complete lack of it.
As former Middle East correspondent Richard Hall put it: “Jeffrey Epstein Prison Video Blows Up Pam Bondi’s ‘Missing Minute’ Explanation.”
The “taped over” story never smelled right to begin with. But now that the footage is out, and it directly contradicts her version of events, people want answers. And more than that — they want consequences.
Whether Bondi will face any remains to be seen. But online? The court of public opinion has made up its mind: “lock her up.”
