President Donald Trump blew up on Truth Social Monday after Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) torched him in a CNBC interview over the sudden firing of Bureau of Labor Statistics chief Erika McEntarfer.
“Bad jobs report? Fire the messenger. That’s Donald Trump,” Warren said bluntly. “He thinks he can bend reality. If he can just tell a different story, then everyone will have to believe his story.”
Warren didn’t hold back. She called Trump’s move dangerous, warning that the credibility of government data is now at risk.
“I think most people have not absorbed just how dangerous it is, both to fire the head of the Bureau of Labor Statistics and also, then what, to put in some sycophant who’s going to give data that makes the president happy?” she said. “So he’s got some toady suck-up in there, and a month from now, let’s just say good data come out. How many people have to discount that data and say, not really?”
Trump’s response? Pure fury.
“Elizabeth Warren is a LOSER!” he posted on Truth Social. “She lies about everything, including the fact that she is an Indian. She’s NOT. She’s no Pocahontas!!!”
He ended with a jab at CNBC: “Ask Pocahontas the real questions, CNBC!!!”
The war of words exploded after Warren accused Trump of trying to rewrite reality by gutting the BLS just because the numbers didn’t fit his narrative. Watch the full CNBC clip below.
