At least three women have come forward claiming to have had romantic relationships with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in the past year as he pursued a long-shot presidential bid. Sources close to Kennedy express concern that these allegations could undermine his standing with Donald Trump as the former president struggles to win over suburban women voters.

Mediaite confirmed the existence of the women’s claims through sources with direct knowledge, reporting that it obtained text messages from one woman detailing her alleged relationship with Kennedy this year. The three women are connected through Children’s Health Defense, the anti-vaccine group he chairs, and have shared their experiences in texts following a scandal involving Kennedy and New York magazine correspondent Olivia Nuzzi.

Kennedy ended his presidential campaign last month and endorsed Trump, reportedly discussing a potential role as secretary of Health and Human Services. However, sources indicate that the ongoing scandal over his relationship with Nuzzi is a concern for Trump’s campaign, especially given Trump’s own history with women.

“Trump is concerned,” a source told Mediaite. “He’s concerned that there are more women, and that more affairs will come out.” Trump’s advisers and donors view Kennedy as a potential problem, particularly as rumors circulate regarding Trump’s own alleged infidelity with conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer, who has denied the allegations.

A Republican political operative emphasized that any allegations of extramarital affairs could hinder Kennedy’s ambitions for a cabinet position, as such relationships could pose security clearance risks. Greg Rinckey, a lawyer specializing in national security clearances, confirmed that affairs can open candidates up to blackmail.

Kennedy has faced accusations of infidelity in the past. Diaries obtained by the New York Post after the suicide of his first wife, Mary Richardson, allegedly included a “ledger” of women he slept with while married. Friends of Mary have criticized Kennedy’s treatment of her, with Billy Baldwin claiming she confided in him about her struggles with Kennedy, stating, “If Bobby were half a man she would still be alive today.”

The narrative surrounding Kennedy suggests he may position himself as a victim of women pursuing him, with some reports claiming Nuzzi was “obsessed” and pursued him via text.

However, a source dismissed this characterization, stating, “This would be completely contradictory to Bobby’s long-standing pattern of serial cheating.” They noted that many women in the health freedom movement believed they were his only interest, suggesting a pattern of “love bombing” where he makes them feel special.

In a recent interview, when asked about the allegations, Kennedy declined to comment specifically but joked, “I have so many skeletons in my closet, if they could vote I’d be king of the world.”
