Former President Donald Trump has agreed to a $200,000 bond and other release conditions following discussions between Trump’s legal team and the Fulton County district attorney’s office on Monday, CNN reported Monday, citing newly released court documents.
The conditions for Trump’s release, as stipulated in his bond order, surpass the scope of those in previous bond orders that were approved earlier. Unlike his fellow co-defendants, Trump is prohibited from utilizing social media to target his 18 co-defendants, witnesses, or the 30 unindicted co-conspirators involved in the case.
Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee has endorsed an order that mandates Trump to refrain from engaging in any actions that could intimidate individuals known to him as co-defendants or witnesses in this case, or obstruct the proper functioning of the justice system. This prohibition encompasses activities on social media platforms, including sharing posts made by others.
Furthermore, the order bars Trump from directly or indirectly discussing the case with any co-defendants or witnesses, except through communication facilitated by his legal representatives. A similar directive has been integrated into bond orders for some of his co-defendants.
