Bill Barr Pulls The Rug From Under Trump, Issues Ominous Prediction

Staff Writer

During a comprehensive interview on CNN, former Attorney General Bill Barr made striking comments that should concern Donald Trump even more in light of his recent federal indictment. The indictment includes charges of conspiracy to defraud the United States, obstruction of an official government proceeding, and conspiracy against rights in connection to the 2020 presidential election.

When asked by CNN host Kaitlan Collin if he thinks Smith has additional evidence, Barr responded affirmatively, stating that there is indeed a lot more.

“Oh, yes. I’m — I would believe he has a lot more,” he replied. “And that’s one of the things that impressed me about the indictment. It was very spare, and there are a lot of things he could have said in there, and I think there’s a lot more to come, and I think they have a lot more evidence as to President Trump’s state of mind.”

Ahead of Trump’s arraignment in a federal courthouse, the hosts of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” highlighted a significant clip from Barr’s interview where he expressed his belief that special counsel Jack Smith has much more in store for the former president.

Barr also pointed out that the indictment seemed deliberately limited and implied that there is a wealth of evidence related to Trump’s state of mind yet to be revealed. “Morning Joe” summarized Barr’s comments as an ominous prediction for Donald Trump regarding the 2020 election case.
