In a recent interview on Newsmax, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin took it upon herself to defend Donald Trump supporters against allegations of cult-like behavior. However, her attempt at vindication missed the mark as she inadvertently confirmed that they are, indeed, a cult.
Palin’s pitfall came when she attempted to defend the MAGA faithful after Hillary Clinton suggested in interview on “Pod Save America” that the Republican response to Trump’s indictment resembled more of a cult than a political party.
Naturally, Palin was called upon to share her thoughts on the matter during her Newsmax appearance, and she did not disappoint.
The former Alaska governor, known for her colorful rhetoric, Palin dove headfirst into the defense of MAGA faithful. She claimed that cults are all about conformity, compliance, and intolerance towards those who dare to deviate from their mission. According to her, a cult is a group of people excessively supporting each other and their cause, refusing to entertain dissenting opinions.

In the end, Palin’s attempt to defend Trump supporters against cult accusations turned out to be a humorous misstep as she inadvertently provided more ammunition for those who perceive a cult-like atmosphere within the GOP.
