‘Phony Deal’: Trump Lashes Out At ‘Bullsh*t’ Investigations In Rambling Waco Rally

During a speech at a campaign rally Saturday night in Texas, Donald Trump railed against what he called “bullsh*t” investigations and “prosecutorial misconduct” while denying any wrongdoing amid investigations in New York, Georgia and Washington.

The former president baselessly described the probes as politically motivated efforts to hamper his 2024 presidential bid during his rally in Waco.

“This is really prosecutorial misconduct. That’s what it’s called,” Trump said. “The Innocence of people makes no difference whatsoever to these radical left maniacs. It is worse actually, in my opinion,” he added before pivoting to his false claim of election fraud.

“Hard to believe anything could be worse than this. But I think it’s worse than ballot stuffing or media manipulation by the FBI working together with Twitter, Facebook and the rest. Remember when that came out four weeks ago, that the FBI was working to make sure that nothing bad is said about Biden, but as much bad as possible, is said about Trump. And you know, that had more of an impact even than truth to vote with a ballot stuffing where they caught ballots being stuffed on tape,” he claimed without evidence.

“Prosecutorial misconduct is their new tool, and they’re willing to use it at levels never seen before in our country, Trump said without evidence. “We’ve had it, but we’ve never had it like this,” he said. “We must stop them and we must not allow them to go through another election where they have yet another tool in their tool kit.”

He also accused local prosecutors in Manhattan and Fulton County as “henchmen” of national Democrats and called his legal troubles a “phony deal.”

“The Russia probe, phony deal, impeachment number one, phony deal, impeachment hoax number two phony deal. The Muller witch hunt phony deal. By the way, it’s determined after two and a half years no collusion. There was no collusion with Russia. I could have told them that very easily. But they knew that because they had the laptop and the laptop…. The collusion was with Biden and Hillary Clinton, who worked with them on the dossier paid for by Russia.”

The rally at the Waco Regional Airport came as Trumpis faces multiple investigations in New York City over a hush money payment, in Georgia over his efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election and by Justice Department special counsel Jack Smith over classified documents the FBI found at Mar-A-Lago, his attempts to steal the 2020 presidential election and his role in the January 6, 2021, insurrection.

The Waco rally also comes 30 years after the federal and state law enforcement raid on the Branch Davidian doomsday cult’s compound in Waco – a 51-day siege that resulted in the deaths of 86 people and has since come to be viewed on the far right as a symbol of government overreach.

Trump has berated prosecutors, encouraged protests and raised the prospect of possible violence should he become the first former president in U.S. history to face criminal charges.
