A pro-Trump rioter who carried an assault rifle and 11 Molotov cocktails that amounted to “homemade napalm’’ was among those arrested over Wednesday’s attack on the Capitol, Justice Department officials said Friday.
The rioter, 70-year-old Lonnie Coffman of Falkville, Alabama, had the “ready to go’’ explosive devices in his red GMC pickup truck in the area along with an M4 carbine assault rifle and two handguns, AL.com reported, citing authorities.
Assistant US Attorney Ken Kohl told reporters that Coffman used gasoline and styrofoam to fashion the devices. He faces charges including illegal possession of weapons and a destructive device.
Coffman is a big President Trump supporter, his ex-wife told AL.com
