Supreme Court Hands GOP Major Loss After Rejecting Their Effort To Intervene With Mail-In Voting

An attempt by the GOP to shorten the deadline for mail-in voting in North Carolina was shot down by the Supreme Court on Wednesday.

The decision came shortly after the justices also declined to grant a stay blocking the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s order extending the deadline in that state.

According to reports, the ruling was 5 to 3 with Justices Neil Gorsuch, Samuel Alito, and Clarence Thomas making it clear that they wanted the courts to intervene against voting rights.
