Donald Trump recently decided to commute his longtime friend and GOP operative Roger Stone’s sentencing. It wasn’t long ago that Attorney General William Barr had called Stone’s initial prison sentence a fair one.
On Monday, CBS News reporter Weijia Jiang confronted Barr and asked him if he had any comments on the commutation. He didn’t.
Jiang approached Barr, introducing herself and asking the attorney general, “Do you have any comment on the Stone commutation?.” Barr smiled when Jiang first introduced herself, but after hearing the question, he immediately turned away from the CBS reporter and ignored her.
