After Being Confronted, Trump’s Former Intel Chief Denies Knowing Anything About Russia’s Bounty Threat

Donald Trump’s former acting Director of National Intelligence, who was in charge when the Trump administration received information that Russia was offering bounties for the death of American troops in Afghanistan, is now denying ever knowing anything about Russia’s threat.

Richard Grenell served as Trump’s acting DNI from February 20th to March 26th despite having no intelligence expertise.

Rep. Ted Lieu decided to confront Grenell via Twitter. According to the former intel chief, he had never heard of the threat and claimed that Trump was never briefed on it.
