A Virginia resident, Frank Lucio Carillo, faces federal charges for making violent threats against Vice President Kamala Harris, President Joe Biden, and several other public figures.
An FBI affidavit reveals that Carillo made these threats on the right-wing social media platform GETTR, Bloomberg reports. The investigation was prompted after the Maricopa County, Arizona, recorder’s office alerted the FBI to potential threats against Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer.
The affidavit details that Carillo expressed a desire to kill Richer, referring to him with violent language. The FBI’s probe into Carillo’s activity uncovered a substantial volume of threatening posts. GETTR provided the bureau with over 4,300 posts from Carillo’s account.
Among the threats, Carillo allegedly targeted Harris and Biden, as well as FBI Director Christopher Wray and other officials. One disturbing post reportedly included a threat to “cut [Harris’s] eyes out” and make her “suffer a slow agonizing death.” Another post reportedly expressed a desire to “burn [Harris] alive” and suggested Carillo would do it himself.

Additionally, Carillo allegedly boasted about having an “AR-15 locked and loaded,” claiming he could use it against immigrants.
Carillo is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, according to the report.
