Trump’s Attempt To Honor POWs Goes South After Voters Remind Him Of His Attack On John McCain

Today is POW/MIA Recognition Day and Donald Trump took to Twitter to try and honor those American soldiers who were captured or went missing while on the line of duty.

Trump tweeted out the following:

“On National POW/MIA Recognition Day, The @FLOTUS and I honor the men & women of our Armed Forces who have selflessly served our Country & made tremendous sacrifices to defend our liberty. Our Nation remains committed to accounting for all missing Americans.”

It didn’t take long for Twitter users to remind the president about his attacks on the late Senator John McCain for being captured in the Vietnam War.
