Donald Trump seems to be grappling with his crowd envy by unleashing a barrage of rage-fueled posts on Truth Social. Following Vice President Kamala Harris’s impressive rally that attracted 75,000 attendees at the Ellipse in Washington, D.C., the former president took to his platform in the early hours to express his frustration.
“Kamala’s speech was terrible, full of lies and nothing new,” he posted in the middle of the night. “Where are the jobs? There are none!” A couple of hours later, he added, “Pennsylvania is cheating, and getting caught at large scale levels rarely seen before. REPORT CHEATING TO AUTHORITIES. Law enforcement must act, NOW!”
This outburst seemed to be a reaction to unfounded claims regarding early voters in Pennsylvania.
Trump is known for his late-night rants on Truth Social, especially when he feels slighted. Despite his assertions that no one draws crowds like him, the size of Harris’s rallies has become a contentious issue during the campaign.
A Harvard analysis revealed that Harris’s events, on average, attract double the number of attendees as Trump’s. The D.C. Metropolitan Police had anticipated about 20,000 people for Harris’s rally, which ended up swelling to over 52,000, ultimately reaching 75,000, according to campaign officials. This stark contrast with Trump’s recent Madison Square Garden turnout of around 20,000 only adds to his frustration.
