Donald Trump ended his Tuesday night by taking to Twitter to rage about the Defense Authorization Act, which includes language to change the names of military bases named after Confederate generals.
Trump threatened to veto the bill – which would send funds to our military – if it did not change the language.
Trump either doesn’t know his history or he knows it well enough to know that the Confederate generals were enemies who killed hundreds of thousands of American troops to defend slavery.
Take a look at his tweet below:
I will Veto the Defense Authorization Bill if the Elizabeth “Pocahontas” Warren (of all people!) Amendment, which will lead to the renaming (plus other bad things!) of Fort Bragg, Fort Robert E. Lee, and many other Military Bases from which we won Two World Wars, is in the Bill!
