Donald Trump’s former fixer Michael Cohen published a new memoir that reveals damaging information about the president.
According to the memoir, Trump made fun of evangelical Christians after holding a meeting with religious leaders before the 2016 election.
According to The Washington Post, one passage from the book describes Trump’s comments after meeting with a group of evangelical leaders at Trump Tower in 2016. After the meeting concluded, Trump said: “Can you believe that bullsh*t? Can you believe people believe that bullsh*t?”
“The cosmic joke was that Trump convinced a vast swathe of working-class white folks in the Midwest that he cared about their well-being,” Cohen writes. “The truth was that he couldn’t care less.”
