Trump Supporters Want An Election Do-Over, This Time Without Mail-In Ballots

While the Republican Party claims to be traditionalists and constitutionalists, they seem to be having a hard time accepting that Joe Biden won the election.

Over the weekend, CNN spoke with Trump supporters who have not been able to accept reality, many of them urging for a complete do-over of the election.

“I don’t believe the mail-in ballots can be trusted,” said Mitch Chrismer, a Tucson Republican. “I think we need a re-vote, an in-person-only re-vote.”

While it is highly unlikely that a do-over will happen, Trump supporters believe that the president has the power to win the courts over and ultimately win reelection.

“I think this will get to the Supreme Court,” said Christine Stellabotte, a 57-year-old from Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. “I’m not sure how or what state or what avenue, but Trump has very high-powered lawyers, some of the top people in the country, so they will find a way I’m sure.”

Some Trump supporters went as far as to suggests that in-person voting was rigged because people were wearing masks to help fight the spread of COVID-19.

“They didn’t even know it was the right people,” said Katie Thompson, a 32-year-old police dispatcher from Waukesha, Wisconsin. “I think the Republican Party needs to go to court and we’ll find out if it’s real.”
