Former President Donald Trump’s blog, which he launched after being banned from social media platforms for inciting the Jan 6 insurrection, has been permanently shut down, his spokesman said Wednesday.
The page “From the Desk of Donald J. Trump” “will not be returning,” his senior aide Jason Miller told CNBC via email.
Asked online later Wednesday whether the move was a “precursor” to the former president joining “another social media platform,” Miller replied: “Yes, actually, it is. Stay tuned!”
Facebook and Twitter banned Trump from posting on their platforms after the Jan. 6 invasion of the U.S. Capitol by the then-president’s supporters. Trump, who never conceded to President Joe Biden, repeatedly and falsely claimed on social media after the Nov. 3 election that the race had been stolen from him by widespread fraud.
The blog, unveiled last month and originally billed as a new “communications platform,” was the subject of constant mockery and had few readers.
Twitter users gleefully responded to the news:
Yes, actually, it is. Stay tuned! https://t.co/USKGvVXe2f

Did it get too embarrassing that no one cared?

Because that last thing was an utter and absolute failure from beginning to end, just like his presidency.

Could this also be a precursor to paying your child support?

Or it could have something to do with the fact that nobody was reading his blog. This long, slow descent into irrelevance must be killing him.

Trump Steaks lasted longer than that failed blog

I bet if Trump came out with a toilet paper brand with his face all over the paper, it'd be a total hit.

Florida man who couldn’t even get his Twitter or Facebook reinstated thinks he’ll be back in the White House
