Donald Trump on Friday launched a new fundraising scheme, trying to convince his supporters to send him money because New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) announced he’s resigning over sexual misconduct allegations.
In a fundraising pitch via email, Trump slammed Cuomo as a “total loser” and saying “it’s about time he resigned.”
“Friend, Andrew Cuomo has got real problems – he handled COVID horribly and he’s DESTROYED New York – and it’s about time he resigned,” Trump said in the fundraising email issued through his Save America PAC on Friday.
“To tell you the truth, this guy is a TOTAL LOSER, and New York, as well as the entire Country, is better off without him,” Trump added while avoiding to mention the real reason for his resignation.

Cuomo said he would resign amid rising pressure from Democrats nationally and in New York over a series of sexual harassment accusations from 11 women, allegations that were detailed as part of an investigation conducted by New York Attorney General Letitia James’s (D) office.
Trump, who repeatedly sparred with Cuomo over the COVID-19 pandemic while in office and also faced past harassment allegations that he denied, used Friday’s fundraising appeal to urge people to donate to him to fight against “political opportunists and TRUMP HATERS.”
“America is actually better off without a lot of Liberal Wokesters like Cuomo. We got rid of one, and now the real work begins,” he said.
At least 26 women accused President Donald Trump of sexual misconduct, including rape, since the 1970s.
A deluge of women made their accusations public following the October 2016 publication of the “Access Hollywood” tape, in which Trump was heard boasting about grabbing women’s genitals. Some of Trump’s accusers made their stories public months before the tape’s release, and still others came forward in the months following.
Trump has broadly dismissed the allegations, which include harassment, groping, and rape, as “fabricated” and politically motivated accounts pushed by the media and his political opponents.
