Former President Donald Trump sparked a slush of ridicule on social media after issuing an official MAGA statement early Saturday morning wishing a “Merry Christmas to all” and signing his brief greeting as “President Donald J. Trump.”
“Merry Christmas to all. We will Make America Great Again!” Trump said in a message shared on Twitter by his spokesperson Liz Harrington with a header signed as “President Donald J. Trump.”
Naturally, Twitter users wasted no time reminding Trump that he was a one-term president who has been out of office for over a year now. Check Trump’s statement and some of the responses below:

Nice shout out to @POTUS, but what about this "we" crap? He's a twice-impeached, one term, two time popular vote loser, serial adulterer who loves Putin, Un, and every other despot in the world. There's no "WE" in this anywhere.

If he just said Merry Christmas to all, and laid off the propaganda, I would love to share his Joy.
But no, he can't just Express something normal, everything's got his gimmick attached

Always about him. Why not just wish all Merry Christmas and leave it at that?

He isn’t the president. Oh, and Biden is working hard to make America great by fixing the messes trump created.

Wait… Trump said there’d be no more Christmas if he didn’t get re-elected in 2020. Don’t tell that was a lie! pic.twitter.com/qqfxACuOb1
