To say that Donald Trump is unpopular in New York is an understatement. The twice-impeached former president made a less-than-triumphant return to New York City on Sunday, where he was greeted by a lone supporter and some members of the media, according to The New York Post.
He arrived at Trump Tower just before 9 p.m. Sunday in a black SUV, and a single supporter was across the street with some members of the media, The Post reported.
It’s not clear why Trump returned to his former residence and flagship real estate property.
Trump, a lifelong New Yorker, switched his residency to his Mar-A-Lago resort in Florida, and he faces investigations of his business affairs by the Manhattan district attorney and New York state attorney general.
