Former President Donald Trump is in the midst of a dramatic and erratic social media outburst, flooding his Truth Social platform with a barrage of all-caps rants at an unprecedented rate. His frenetic posting comes as he responds to Vice President Kamala Harris’s recent Democratic National Convention speech, delivering a relentless stream of criticism and disjointed commentary every 30 seconds.
As Harris laid out her vision for the presidency and emphasized her diverse background as a multiracial child of immigrants, Trump took to social media with a series of rapid-fire reactions. Her focus on Project 2025, a conservative agenda championed by the Heritage Foundation and a key target for Democrats, seems to have ignited Trump’s ire.
In a series of posts, Trump reacted to Harris’s criticisms of his role in the January 6th Capitol riot and his ongoing legal issues. His responses varied from bewildered exclamations to harsh critiques of her speech.
“IS SHE TALKING ABOUT ME?” Trump questioned in one post.
His commentary began with an unusual focus on Harris’s entrance: “Here she comes into the Arena!” he wrote. He followed with, “WHERE’S HUNTER?”
Further rants included critiques of Harris’s interactions with the audience. “Too many ‘Thank yous,’ too rapidly said, what’s going on with her?” he questioned, seemingly perplexed by Harris’s gratitude toward her supporters.
In another outburst, Trump declared, “I’ll be going on Fox in a few minutes to discuss Marxism in America!” followed by an odd dig at House Speaker Nancy Pelosi: “Look, it’s Crazy Nancy Pelosi looking on, saying, ‘Where’s Crooked Joe?'”
Trump also made cryptic references to other topics, posting, “Walz was an ASSISTANT Coach, not a COACH,” and ominously warning of dire consequences under Harris’s potential presidency: “There will be no future under Comrade Kamala Harris, because she will take us into a Nuclear World War III!” He concluded with a declaration of global disdain: “She will never be respected by the Tyrants of the World!”
