It took months for Donald Trump to wear a face mask during the coronavirus pandemic after being constantly advised by experts to do so. Now, after seeing that his polling numbers are as bad as ever, Trump has decided that he will finally encourage people to wear a mask.
On Monday, Trump shared a photo of himself wearing a mask and called it the most “patriotic” thing a person can do.
He tweeted the photo with the following caption:
“We are United in our effort to defeat the Invisible China Virus, and many people say that it is Patriotic to wear a face mask when you can’t socially distance. There is nobody more Patriotic than me, your favorite President!”

Of course, people reminded Trump that the outbreak began months ago and it would have saved thousands of lives if he had just encouraged this behavior from the beginning.
