In a fiery rally in Pennsylvania on Sunday, Donald Trump launched a scathing attack on Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama, branding the former president them as a “big divider and a major trouble maker” and calling the former first lady “not nice” for their support of Vice President Kamala Harris. He vowed to retaliate against Michelle Obama, stating, “We’re going to start having a little fun with Michelle.”
A visibly rattled Trump declared, “Barack Hussein Obama, and who’s a big divider, who’s a major divider, and he’s a major trouble maker, okay?” He claimed to have respected Michelle in the past but felt provoked by her recent comments. “That’s not nice of her to do. I think we’re going to start having a little fun with Michelle,” he fumed, as the crowd erupted in approval. “I think we’re going to have a little fun with Michelle,” he insisted.
The Obamas have ramped up their political engagement, with both speaking at the Democratic National Convention and actively campaigning for Harris. Trump’s anger is palpable, revealing his deep insecurities about Obama’s enduring influence on the political landscape.
Earlier last month in North Carolina, Trump labeled Obama a “terrible jerk” for his campaign efforts, saying, “He couldn’t care less about the people.” This ongoing tirade underscores how the former president’s presence is unsettling for Trump, especially as the election heats up.
Trump also blasted Fox News for what he perceived as excessive airtime given to Michelle Obama’s campaign efforts. On his Truth Social platform, he vented: “Fox News spends far too much time promoting the Democrats and their agenda,” criticizing them for showcasing “an angry and totally out of control Michelle Obama.”
