In a late-night outburst on Truth Social, Donald Trump went after Bruce Springsteen, Beyoncé, Oprah, and Bono, accusing them of taking money to support Vice President Kamala Harris during her campaign — and calling it illegal.
“HOW MUCH DID KAMALA HARRIS PAY BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN FOR HIS POOR PERFORMANCE DURING HER CAMPAIGN FOR PRESIDENT?” Trump wrote in all caps. “WHY DID HE ACCEPT THAT MONEY IF HE IS SUCH A FAN OF HERS? ISN’T THAT A MAJOR AND ILLEGAL CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTION?”
The president didn’t stop there. He also dragged Beyoncé, Oprah Winfrey, and U2’s Bono into the mix, claiming — without offering proof — that they were all paid to endorse Harris:
“WHAT ABOUT BEYONCÉ? …AND HOW MUCH WENT TO OPRAH, AND BONO??? I am going to call for a major investigation into this matter,” Trump wrote. “Candidates aren’t allowed to pay for ENDORSEMENTS, which is what Kamala did, under the guise of paying for entertainment.”
He called the alleged payments “a very expensive and desperate effort to artificially build up her sparse crowds,” adding, “IT’S NOT LEGAL!”
In a follow-up post, Trump zeroed in on Beyoncé, claiming she was paid millions to appear briefly at a campaign event.
“According to news reports, Beyoncé was paid $11,000,000 to walk onto a stage, quickly ENDORSE KAMALA, and walk off to loud booing for never having performed, NOT EVEN ONE SONG!” Trump wrote. “THIS IS AN ILLEGAL ELECTION SCAM AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL! IT IS AN ILLEGAL CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTION! BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, OPRAH, BONO AND, PERHAPS, MANY OTHERS, HAVE A LOT OF EXPLAINING TO DO!!!”

So far, none of the accused celebrities have backed down. Oprah said she “was not paid a dime,” and explained that a $1 million payment went to her company, Harpo Productions, to cover event costs like equipment and staffing.
Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, defended her daughter, saying she “did not receive a penny” and paid her own way to attend the event.
The Harris campaign also denied Trump’s claims, telling Variety they paid only for standard production costs as required by law.
Trump’s overnight tirade follows comments Springsteen made at a recent show in the UK, where he said the U.S. is “currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent and treasonous administration.”
