A furious President Donald Trump on Tuesday raged at “weak” House Republicans for allowing passage of a veto override for the National Defense Authorization Act, calling it a ” disgraceful act of cowardice and total submission by weak people and Big Tech” because it didn’t include an unrelated liability shield repeal he has been demanding.
“Weak and tired Republican “leadership” will allow the bad Defense Bill to pass. Say goodbye to VITAL Section 230 termination, your National Monuments, Forts (names!) and Treasures (inserted by Elizabeth “Pocahontas” Warren), 5G, and our great soldiers being removed and brought home from foreign lands who do NOTHING for us.” Trump said in a couple of tweets.
“A disgraceful act of cowardice and total submission by weak people to Big Tech. Negotiate a better Bill, or get better leaders, NOW! Senate should not approve NDAA until fixed!!!” he added.
The bill now heads to the Senate. It is not clear whether there will be sufficient votes to override the veto there, even though it passed by a veto-proof margin last time, because not every Republican may be willing to cross the president out of fear of being attacked on Twitter.
