Florida Representative Matt Gaetz triggered an avalanche of mockery on social media after delivering a bizarre rant on the House floor about domestic extremists and claiming that mainstream Christianity could be deemed “domestic extremism” if they don’t declare their pronouns.
“How long until mainstream Christianity is deemed domestic extremism?” Gaetz said. “You know all the domestic extremism, they declare their pronouns,” he added in an apparent jab at LGBT people.
“So if you don’t declare your pronouns, maybe your domestic extremists to how long until mainstream Christianity is deemed,” he declared.
