Beyoncé fans at Houston’s NRG Stadium were left stunned Saturday night when a performance took a dangerous turn.
In the middle of her song “16 Carriages”, Beyoncé was sitting on a red convertible prop suspended above the crowd. Suddenly, the car tilted to one side and got stuck, leaving the superstar dangling in midair.
“Stop, stop, stop, stop!” Beyoncé yelled from the unsteady platform, her voice urgent and panicked.
The show came to a sudden stop as crews worked to fix the technical issue. After a tense pause, the car was safely lowered, and Beyoncé was brought back down to the stage without injury.
Despite the scare, she picked up the song where she left off and powered through the rest of the set.
Later, Beyoncé paused to thank her fans for sticking with her through the chaos.
“Thank y’all for your patience,” she said. “I wanna thank y’all for loving me. If ever I fall, I know y’all will catch me.”
Houston marked the latest stop on her global Cowboy Carter tour — but this moment won’t be forgotten anytime soon. Watch the clip below:
