Georgia authorities have arrested a female suspect who allegedly shot dead one victim and wounded two other people in midtown Atlanta on Monday morning, the Atlanta Police Department said.
Officials said the suspect was found at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and “taken into custody without incident.”
“It’s unclear what led to the shootings,” investigators said in a statement, adding that they are “working to determine whether the victims were targeted by the suspect or whether any of the victims were shot randomly.”
The arrest came hours after authorities released surveillance video images of the suspect.
