Elon Musk has reached his breaking point.
In a fiery post on X, the billionaire tech mogul tore into Donald Trump’s latest budget bill, calling it a “disgusting abomination” and slamming lawmakers who backed it.
“I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore,” Musk wrote Tuesday. “This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination. Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it.”
Musk didn’t hold back. While he had previously voiced concerns about Trump’s spending habits, this marks his most direct and blistering attack yet.
In a recent interview with CBS, Musk said he was “disappointed to see the massive spending bill, frankly, which increases the budget deficit, not decrease it and undermines the work the DOGE team is doing.” He added pointedly, “I think a bill can be big or it can be beautiful. But I don’t know if it can be both.”
The numbers back up his concern. The Congressional Budget Office said the bill would add $3.8 trillion to the federal deficit, mostly due to tax changes that extend key parts of Trump’s 2017 tax law.
Even some Republicans are siding with Musk on this one. Senators Rand Paul and Ron Johnson have publicly condemned the bill, warning it would drive the national debt to dangerous new heights.
