A Republican fundraising dinner in Florida took an unexpected turn last weekend when Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), who was the keynote speaker at the event, was confronted with a sex doll.
During the event, a man named Michael Picard burst into the room with a blown-up sex doll and yelled, “Make way! Matt Gaetz! I got you the underaged girl!”
Security guards promptly escorted Picard out of the room, while Gaetz expressed his disdain for the disruptive act.
The stunt was a reference to previous allegations that Gaetz had engaged in sexual activities with a minor and potentially violated sex trafficking laws. Gaetz has consistently denied these accusations.

In the past, Gaetz had also been involved in a Justice Department investigation related to Joel Greenberg, a political ally who faced charges, including sex trafficking a 17-year-old girl.
Picard, who refers to himself as a “friendly neighborhood troll,” explained that he targeted Gaetz to draw attention to the allegations against him, especially after the Justice Department’s probe ended without charges.
The event, organized by the Okaloosa County Republican Party, aimed to raise funds for Republican National Committee operations, voter registration, and supporting GOP candidates in various government positions.
Following the incident, Picard uploaded a short clip of the encounter with Gaetz on TikTok. The clip was then shared on Twitter by several users.

Picard has a history of engaging in provocative acts, including pretending to be a Donald Trump supporter during a court appearance.
