Sean “Diddy” Combs faces serious criminal charges, including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking, according to a federal indictment released by the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Damian Williams.
The indictment claims that from at least 2008 to the present, Combs used his influence and resources to exploit and coerce victims for his sexual gratification, conceal his misconduct, and protect his public image. Combs allegedly trafficked commercial sex workers for events dubbed “Freak Offs,” during which he organized their interstate and international transportation.
These gatherings, which reportedly lasted several days and featured multiple sex workers, involved controlled substances intended to ensure compliance. The indictment also details that Combs kept videos of the sexual activities and required specific supplies such as IV fluids, lubricants, and lighting for these events.
The indictment describes a persistent pattern of abuse by Combs, including physical, emotional, and verbal violence. It alleges that from 2009 onwards, he frequently assaulted women through various means, including striking and dragging them. Furthermore, Combs is accused of using his businesses and employees to facilitate and cover up these crimes.
Prosecutors allege that Combs’s enterprise engaged in a range of illegal activities, including sex trafficking, forced labor, and bribery. They argue that Combs maintained control over his business associates through violence and threats, and used intimidation and manipulation to avoid detection.
Overall, the indictment portrays Combs as operating a criminal enterprise through his business empire, engaging in extensive and varied criminal conduct over several decades.
