Twitter users brutally mocked Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) on Tuesday after a far-right activist claimed that the Republican was planning to subpoena Antifa.
“BREAKING REPORT: Rand Paul has called to SUBPOENA ANTIFA plane records, hotel records, all travel records & all funding,” former GOP candidate Chuck Callesto posted on Twitter.

Paul doesn’t seem to understand what Antifa actually is. Antifa is a short term for anti-fascist, it’s not an actual group with an address or membership that he can subpoena.
Twitter users decided to troll Paul, many reminding him that America’s Greatest Generation is renowned for beating the fascists in World War II.

Is he going to subpoena Santa Claus next? Casper the Friendly Ghost? A jackalope? The survivors of the Bowling Green Massacre?

Antifa is not an organization, it’s a point of view, a sentiment. That’s like asking for all the records and funding of the religious.
