‘SleazeBags’: Trump Explodes at ‘Stone Cold CRAZY’ Democrats for ‘Playing the Ref’ with Supreme Court

Staff Writer

President Donald Trump exploded in a late-night social media post, attacking Democrats as “Radical Left SleazeBags” and accusing them of trying to manipulate the Supreme Court after justices showed signs of rejecting his push to end birthright citizenship.

“The Radical Left SleazeBags, which has no cards remaining in its illegal bag of tricks, is, in a very coordinated manner, PLAYING THE REF with regard to the United States Supreme Court,” Trump wrote on Truth Social during a trip to the Middle East.

He went on to say Democrats “lost the Election in a landslide, and with it, have totally lost their confidence and reason,” calling them “stone cold CRAZY!”

“I hope the Supreme Court doesn’t fall for the games they play,” Trump added. “The people are with us in bigger numbers than ever before. They want to, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”

Trump’s angry post came just hours after the Supreme Court heard arguments on his administration’s attempt to end birthright citizenship — the constitutional right that grants U.S. citizenship to nearly all children born on American soil, regardless of their parents’ immigration status.

Trump had signed an executive order in January to deny citizenship to children born in the U.S. if their parents are not citizens or permanent residents. But during Thursday’s hearing, several justices appeared skeptical about the sweeping use of executive power and the legal tools Trump’s team is trying to restrict.

Conservative Justice Clarence Thomas questioned the modern use of nationwide injunctions — legal orders that can block federal policies across the entire country. “So, we survived until the 1960s without universal injunctions,” Thomas noted.

Solicitor General D. John Sauer responded: “That’s exactly correct. And in fact, those are very limited and very rare, even in the 1960s. It really exploded in 2007.” He also said 40 such injunctions have been issued since Trump’s second term began.

But liberal justices pushed back hard.

“Does every single person that is affected by this EO [executive order] have to bring their own suit?” Justice Elena Kagan asked. “Are there alternatives? How long does it take?”

The court’s resistance to Trump’s position appeared to set him off. His post didn’t mention the hearing directly — but the timing and tone made clear the outburst was triggered by what happened inside the courtroom.
