A public feud between tech billionaire Elon Musk and conservative influencer Ashley St. Clair erupted on social media Monday after St. Clair accused Musk of cutting off childcare support, forcing her to sell her Tesla to cover expenses for their child.
The drama began when St. Clair was seen putting her Tesla up for sale, claiming she had no choice but to sell it after Musk allegedly withdrew financial support for their child. In response, Musk fired back on X, defending his actions and claiming he has already provided substantial financial assistance and is open to taking a paternity test.
“I don’t know if the child is mine or not, but am not against finding out. No court order is needed. Despite not knowing for sure, I have given Ashley $2.5M and am sending her $500k/year,” Musk wrote on X.
However, St. Clair wasn’t backing down. She quickly responded, rejecting Musk’s version of events. “Elon, we asked you to confirm paternity through a test before our child (who you named) was even born. You refused,” she wrote in a post on X.
St. Clair also addressed Musk’s claims about the money he sent, saying it wasn’t about providing for the child, but about control. “And you weren’t sending me money, you were sending support for your child that you thought was necessary… until you withdrew most of it to maintain control and punish me for ‘disobedience.’ But you’re really only punishing your son,” she said.
The influencer also blasted Musk for using his social media platform to publicly air their personal issues.
“It’s all about control with you, and everyone can see it. America needs you to grow up, you petulant man-child,” St. Clair wrote.
The feud between Musk and St. Clair continues to grab attention, with both parties exchanging accusations and using social media to share their side of the story.
