Post Malone recently shed 60 pounds and finally unveiled the secret behind his more slender physique.

The rapper made an appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast earlier this month and disclosed that he managed to shed the unwanted weight by eliminating sugary soda from his diet.

“Soda is so bad. It’s so good, but so bad,” the father of one told Rogan.

The musician opened up about his dietary change during his chat with the podcast host, who is 56 years old. Despite reducing his soda intake, Malone still allows himself the occasional indulgence in a fizzy, revitalizing drink.

“[If] I had a great show, and you know what, I’m feeling a little bit naughty. I’m gonna have myself a Coke on ice,” he confessed, adding that he allows himself to drink soda on rare occasions.

Malone also shared details about his previous and current weight, revealing that he had reached 240 pounds before adopting his new eating habits. Presently, Malone’s weight sits at 185 pounds.

Rogan concurred that occasionally indulging in junk food and sugary beverages can be acceptable within the context of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. However, he noted that overindulging in sugary soda on a daily basis can overwhelm the body due to the unnatural influx of sugar. Both agreed that the key is to enjoy such treats in moderation.

“Every now and then you reward yourself with a Coca Cola and you’re like ‘Ah, this is nice.’ Your body never gets that sugar in the wild. You get sugar in fruit.“

“The problem is when people [drink soda] all day every day your body doesn’t know what to do with that sugar because it’s so unnatural… the key to those things is every now and then, you know?” Rogan chimed in.

“When you have a glass of sugar water, it’s pouring right into your bloodstream. Your body is like, ‘What the f–k is this?’” he said.

Regarding his weight loss journey, Malone’s fans had raised concerns about his rapid transformation, with some even suspecting drug use. In response, the “Better Now” singer denied these allegations in an April post on Instagram. He reassured his followers that he was simply having a great time performing on his Twelve Carat Tour and feeling healthier than ever before.
