Recent security cam footage at an Oregon coffee shop captured the moment a group of Oregon police officers went on a profanity-filled rant after they were told to wear masks, according to the shop’s manager.
The Oregonian reported this week that Travis Boss, the assistant manager at the coffee shop, told the officers in a polite manner to wear masks before entering the store, citing Gov. Kate Brown’s statewide face mask mandate.
“Governor Brown has no authority to take our civil liberties,” one state trooper said, according to Boss. “We aren’t going to wear masks… f*ck Kate Brown.”
According to Capt. Timothy Fox, the officer who allegedly went on a rant against Gov. Brown has been put on administrative leave and is now under formal investigation.
“OSP is early in the investigation, but if found to be true, we are thoroughly disappointed and expect our troopers to follow the governor’s executive orders and be examples in the community,” Fox said.
