A note, purportedly addressed to former U.S. President Donald Trump, was found close to the scene of last month’s deadly mass shooting at Moscow’s Crocus City Hall, according to reports.
Discovered atop a grand piano in a restaurant within the Crocus City Mall, the note contained ominous threats of further violence directed towards a neighboring shopping center. The contents of the note were described as “incoherent” by sources cited in Moskovsky Komsomolets.
Questions arise as to why the note was targeted at Trump and why it was strategically placed in an area still reeling from the recent tragedy, which was claimed by the so-called Islamic State. Notably, Crocus City Hall holds significance for Trump, having been constructed by a real estate developer with ties to the former president, who also hosted a “Miss Universe” pageant at the venue in the past.
Authorities have apprehended a 46-year-old suspect in connection with the incident, the report states.
