MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell announced on Sunday afternoon that he was “back on Twitter,” only to be re-banned from the platform mere moments after his boisterous announcement.
Lindell, a perpetual election litigator on behalf of former president Donald Trump, was banned from Twitter in January 2021 for spreading misinformation about the 2020 election.
On Sunday afternoon, he posted to a new account announcing his return.
“Hello everybody, I’M BACK ON TWITTER. My only account is @MikeJLindell! Please RT and FOLLOW to SPREAD THE WORD,” Lindell said in a tweet.
The tweet also featured a video of Lindell confirming the account was in fact his.
“All those other ones are fake accounts and they’ve been using my name out there, so we started this account,” he said. “Please share with everybody you know, let everybody you know, so we can get the word out at Twitter in case they do take it down. Thanks a lot for helping out.”
About three hours later, the account was suspended.
Here’s the announcement:
Mike Lindell isn't very bright. You aren't supposed to confess before you get caught. https://t.co/N5grkRiXDi
