Republican Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) had a heated altercation with fellow Republican Kevin McCarthy uring the Republican National Convention.

The incident unfolded during McCarthy’s interview with a CNN reporter on Tuesday when Gaetz abruptly interrupted.

“Which night are you speaking? Tonight?” Gaetz questioned, his tone confrontational.

Witnesses intervened to restrain Gaetz, but he persisted in confronting McCarthy, saying: You’d be booed off that stage if you dared to speak!” Gaetz asserted.

Gaetz, known for his outspoken nature, has been a central figure in efforts to remove McCarthy from his role as Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives.

McCarthy retaliated, suggesting Gaetz’s motivations stem from a personal vendetta related to an ethics investigation.

“He’s facing an ethics complaint regarding relations with a minor,” McCarthy told CNN, referencing Gaetz.
