During a speech at the Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on Monday, Martin Short delivered a barb aimed at former President Trump for taking classified documents to his Mar-a-Lago residence.
Appearing onstage to present the award in the best variety talk series category, Short said: “Really, what an audience you are. I wish I could box you up and take you home, like classified White House documents,” Short quipped to laughs from the audience at the 74th annual awards show.

Short’s quip came as the Justice Department continues to investigate the former president for illegally taking classified documents to his Florida resort home.
