Marjorie Taylor Greene on Wednesday expressed discontent with fellow MAGA Republican, Representative Lauren Boebert, for taking the lead on her long-standing mission to impeach President Joe Biden.
According to CNN’s Manu Raju, Greene accused Boebert on Wednesday of essentially appropriating the articles of impeachment that she had previously drafted, going as far as labeling her a “copycat.”
Raju also reports that many Republican members are displeased with Boebert’s push for a vote on impeaching Biden, and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) stated his opposition to Boebert’s motion.
On Wednesday, Boebert claimed that God had personally “directed and led” her to impeach Biden, although it was Greene who initiated the impeachment campaign against Biden right from his first day in office in January 2021.
Despite sharing similar ideologies, Greene and Boebert have a long history of personal conflicts, particularly regarding their support for McCarthy as the Republican Speaker of the House and Greene’s endorsement of conspiracy theories involving the Rothschild family funding space lasers to deliberately cause forest fires.
House GOP members not happy with Lauren Boebert for forcing a vote to impeach Joe Biden. In conference, Speaker McCarty argued against it, per attendees. Many are opposed. And even a backer, MTG, critcized Boebert for copying her impeachment resolution, calling her a “copy cat”
