On Tuesday, Republican congresswoman and QAnon evangelist Marjorie Taylor Greene unleashed a ludicrous conspiracy theory about Dr. Anthiny Fauci funded the creation of COVID-19 with taxpayers’ money.
The Georgia lawmaker made the claim on Twitter as part of her effort to get Fauci fired as America’s top infectious disease expert.
“We must pass my bill, The Fire Fauci Act,” she wrote. “No one elected Dr Fauci. He is the highest paid federal employee. At his direction, shutdowns and masks are ruining our country, for what appears to be a man made virus that Fauci paid for with our money.”
Of course, there is no evidence that the novel coronavirus is “man-made,” nor is there any evidence that Fauci paid to create it.
Additionally, Fauci does not control America’s public health policies and only makes recommendations that politicians can choose to implement or ignore.

This is something some whack job says to a cult in private. But now it's OK to say out loud because this whack job won't face any consequences. And if she did she'd blame cancel culture. When the real truth is bad people who spread lies deserve consequences
