A Trump rioter who stormed the US Capitol on January 6 was arrested as he was planning to take down the internet by blowing up Amazon’s servers using C4 explosive devices.

The man, 28-year-old Seth Aaron Pendley, reportedly took a sawed-off rifle to the Capitol assault with the intent to cripple government operations with his bomb attack, according to the Washington Post.

Pendley was taken into custody last week after reportedly trying to buy C4 explosive devices from a seller who was actually an undercover FBI agent in Fort Worth.

“Just as Pendley placed the devices into his Pontiac, federal agents swarmed in and arrested him. The bomb seller was actually an FBI plant who had helped unravel a plan Pendley believed could ‘kill off about 70 percent of the internet,'” the reports states adding, “On Wednesday, Pendley pleaded guilty to planning to bomb Amazon facilities in an attempt to undermine the U.S. government and to spark a rebellion against the ‘oligarchy’ he believed to be running the country.”

Pendley is charged with malicious attempt to destroy a building with an explosive. According to the complaint, the investigation began after a concerned citizen contacted the agency back in January regarding alarming statements Pendley posted under the name “Dionysus”, on a forum dedicated to organized militia groups.
