Laura Ingraham Flubs Geography While Criticizing Tim Walz, Claims Milwaukee is in Minnesota

Fox News host Laura Ingraham has sparked a wave of mockery after she suffered a significant geographical blunder during her critique of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. Ingraham, attempting to discuss changes in Minnesota under Walz’s leadership, mistakenly referenced Milwaukee —Wisconsin’s largest city— as if it were located in Minnesota.

“If you know Minnesota—and I know it well—especially Milwaukee, it’s changed,” Ingraham remarked during her segment on Thursday. She went on to criticize Walz’s policies and their impact on the state since 2020. However, her statement was quickly flagged by viewers and commentators who pointed out that Milwaukee is actually in Wisconsin.

Ingraham’s comments came amid a discussion on Walz’s positions on diversity, equity, and inclusion, which she suggested have negatively impacted the state.

Walz, who was recently announced as Kamala Harris’ 2024 running mate, has been under increased scrutiny from Republicans since his selection. Critics have focused on his legislative record, including a controversial education bill providing menstrual products to students, leading some to derisively nickname him “Tampon Tim.”

Meanwhile, Harris has been vocal in her support for Walz, highlighting his dedication to middle-class families.

“One of the things that stood out to me about Tim is how his convictions on fighting for middle class families run deep. It’s personal,” Harris stated. “We are going to build a great partnership. We start out as underdogs but I believe together, we can win this election.”
