Despite consistently trailing in every recent poll, Arizona Senate candidate Kari Lake remains hilariously convinced that she commands the backing of a staggering 80% of voters.

Taking the guest seat on the War Room podcast, standing in for jailed criminal host Steve Bannon, Lake started off with a bang. “It’s good to be on with the posse this morning,” Lake cheerfully greeted,. “I’ve added Steve Bannon to my prayer list every day. And I know he’s holding strong behind bars where he shouldn’t be, but we’re just praying for him. He’s truly a hero of ours.”

Lake’s assessment of her electoral chances was equally detached from reality. “Arizona is an incredible state, she gushed. “It’s very patriotic here. We’re much more united as a country than the fake news portrays. I believe 75, 80% of the people are with us.”

Contrary to Lake’s claims, every survey conducted since March has shown her trailing behind Ruben Gallego (D), according to data from 538.

In her closing remarks, Lake continued to heap praise on Bannon, emphasizing the importance of grassroots activism in the most dramatic terms possible.

“As I said to Steve the last time I talked to him, if you’re not being indicted, deposed, arrested, jailed, canceled, you know, if you’re not knocking doors, if you’re not making phone calls, if you’re not walking the neighborhood talking about what’s happening in the world, getting people registered to vote, you’re not doing enough,” she asserted.

“I have absolute faith that God placed us here for this moment. God placed Steve Bannon here for this moment,” she added, cementing her belief in divine intervention.

Lake’s persistent confidence in the face of stark polling data paints a picture of absurd self-delusion, highlighting her profound disconnect from the realities of her electoral prospects.
