Former President Donald Trump unleashed his fury towards Maggie Haberman, a New York Times reporter, alleging that she inaccurately reported the size of the crowd turnout outside the courthouse during his ongoing trial.

In a lengthy diatribe posted on Truth Social, Trump unveiled a new derogatory moniker for Haberman, labeling her “Maggot Hagerman” in a scathing critique of her journalistic integrity and writing abilities.

“Maggot Hagerman of The Failing New York Times, falsely reported that I was disappointed with the crowds,” Trump ranted. “No, I’m disappointed with Maggot, and her lack of writing skill, and that some of these many police aren’t being sent to Columbia and NYU to keep the schools open and the students safe. The Legal Scholars call the case a Scam that should never have been brought!”

In his tirade, Trump also vented his grievances over the perceived heavy police presence around the Manhattan courthouse where his trial is unfolding. He claimed that thousands of his supporters were prevented from assembling outside due to barricades and law enforcement measures, characterizing the scene as an “armed camp” designed to deter people from showing their support.

“Thousands of people were turned away from the Courthouse in Lower Manhattan by steel stanchions and police, literally blocks from the tiny side door from where I enter and leave,” Trump wrote. “It is an armed camp to keep people away.”

Furthermore, Trump accused the judicial system, particularly the presiding judge, of orchestrating what he described as a politically motivated prosecution aimed at undermining his reputation and legitimacy. He denounced the trial as “Election Interference” and condemned the judge as “conflicted and corrupt,” suggesting that impartial justice was being compromised in favor of personal vendettas.

I call it Election Interference and a personal hit job by a conflicted and corrupt Judge who shouldn’t be allowed to preside over this Political Hoax,” he wrote. “New York Justice is being reduced to ashes, and the World is breathlessly watching. Hopefully, Appellate Courts can save it, and all of the companies that are fleeing to other jurisdictions. They can no longer take a chance on New York Justice!”

Despite Trump’s assertions, evidence presented by NBC News’ Vaughn Hillyard contradicted his claims of substantial support outside the courthouse, with video footage showing sparse demonstrations and open streets. Additionally, Haberman herself refuted Trump’s narrative, debunking the notion that local streets were closed off during the trial.

Trump’s strained relationship with Haberman, once characterized by close access and friendly interactions during his tenure in the White House, has soured as she continues to report on his courtroom behavior, including instances of him struggling to remain awake during proceedings.
